In the second quarter of 2024, the food delivery service apps continued to serve a significant number of users across the United States. Data from Sensor Tower offers a detailed look into the performance of these apps.
Glovo: Food Delivery and more saw a consistent increase in downloads throughout the quarter, starting at 30K and peaking at 42K. Weekly active users also showed an upward trend, beginning at approximately 714K and rising to nearly 788K.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a fluctuating pattern in downloads, with a high of 41K in mid-April before dipping to 26K by the end of June. Active users initially stood at 454K, saw a mid-quarter dip, but ended slightly lower at around 396K.
Deliveroo: Food & Shopping maintained a steady number of downloads, ranging between 23K and 28K. The app's weekly active users showed a slight increase from 495K in the first week to over 507K by the quarter's end.
Just Eat - Food Delivery also observed an ascending trend in downloads, starting at 21K and climbing to 27K. On the other hand, weekly active users began at 168K and, after some variation, ended the quarter at nearly 159K.
Everli - Spesa online showed the most modest performance among the top apps. Downloads peaked at 7.8K in mid-May, following a sharp spike, but generally remained below 2K. Weekly active users peaked at around 10.7K, also in mid-May, but otherwise hovered below 6.5K.
